The Peter Principle was first published in 1969. Within a year, the book had been printed for the 15th time. Canadian Laurence J. Peter claimed that “In a hierarchy, every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence.’’ Which means: you succeed and get promoted. You succeed again and get promoted again - until you reach a level of job in which you fail. By this definition, almost all leaders of organisations may be incompetent.

Due to its special construction the Chiron has characteristic advantages. The possibility to optimize the power stroke of the Chiron offers advantages in terms of emissions and efficiency. Efficiency is also improved because of the decreased complexity of the energy conversion. The high piston speed near the top dead centre and the possibility to increase the compression ratio has positive effects on the start up behaviour. Finally the power density is low compared to conventional engine pump combinations. |
