To optimise the performance of the hydraulic
transformer and decrease the costs, a new axial piston principle was developed:
the so called Floating Cup design, which consists
of a balanced (mirrored) construction with a high number of pistons. The
costs of parts are low compared to conventional bent axis or in line units,
due to other (mass) production technologies. Also the technical design
goals: low torque and flow variations, high power density, high efficiency,
and a robust, durable and reliable construction were reached. The Floating
Cup design is also applicable for motors and pumps. |
