On June 4, 1963, patent #3,091,888 was granted to the six-year-old inventor Robert Patch for a "toy truck". Robert Patch's toy truck was designed to be easily assembled and disassembled by a kid and the toy could be changed into different types of tucks each time. The truck body could be turned upside down and end for end in order to mount as either a van body, or a dump truck body with a swinging back end.
